ESTRS: Maintaining the connection.

When we first envisioned the Endless Summer Trail Run Series and held those inaugural races in 2012, we had one goal in mind: To create inclusive, welcoming, accessible and affordable trail running and racing opportunities for everyone. Judging by the beautiful spectrum of humans that attended Wednesday night’s race, the dream persists even after a canceled 2020 season. The economics (yuck) of ESTRS requires that in order to cover all of the event costs, we need a pretty good size field (and yay, more awesome people to connect with). Given all of the uncertainty of 2021 we decided to be smart and just shoot for one solid event. I am so glad we were able to do it – it was a perfect reminder of what a special thing we have here. Our hope is to be back with the full series in 2022; Lebanon 10K (May), French 5K (June), Lebanon 7MI (early July), Murphy 5K (late July) and Spring Lake 5MI (early August). If you are not on our “global” mailing list, you may want to sign up to stay informed when registration opens next year https://www.estrs.com/join-our-mailing-list/

As always, a huge thank you to all of our volunteers, without whom the races would not be possible. https://www.estrs.com/estrs-2021-volunteer-thank-you/

Photos:
As always, our volunteer photographers try to get photos of as many runners as possible. I think we have all but one gallery in. Images are for personal use by race participants – if you are sharing photos on your social media etc., it is always good form to credit the photographer. If you’d like to use an image for a commercial purpose (e.g. publish in a magazine, use to promote a product etc.), please contact photographers for permission and terms of use. https://www.estrs.com/photos/

In Closing:
Thank you. Thanks for being you and thanks for being a part of it. We appreciate each and every one of you!

As always, should you have any questions or need anything, please reach out.

Sincerely,

John Storkamp
Race Director
