2025 ESTRS French 5KM Recap

Greetings Friends,

Thank you for taking part in the 2025 Endless Summer Trail Run Series French 5KM at French Regional Park on Wednesday. Off and on rain throughout the day gave way to clearing skies and sunshine about 20 minutes prior to the start of the race – it was absolutely gorgeous. A couple of fun stats from the competitive end of the event jumped out at me on this one; Margaret Ludick bested her own French 5KM course record from 2015 by a mere 4 seconds. In 2015 she ran 20:14, and in 2025 she ran 20:10! Daniel Docherty came with in 9 seconds of the men’s course record which was set by Chris Lundstrom in 2015 with a time of 17:28. Mara Fink set our non-binary course record running 26:49. Overall it was another great group and another great night at the Endless Summer Trail Run Series, thank you all for being a part of it!

A huge thank you to French Regional Park / Three Rivers Park District for hosting us and taking such great care of the park, and trail system.

There are still spots left for both of the remaining series races. Lebanon 7MI on Wednesday July 9 and Spring Lake 5MI on Wednesday July 30, we hope to see you there.
