2023 Endless Summer Trail Run Series Volunteer Email – Lebanon 7MI

Date: Tuesday June 27, 2023
Subject: 2023 Endless Summer Trail Run Series Volunteer Email – Lebanon 7MI

Hi Everybody,

Thank you so much for volunteering for the Endless Summer Trail Run Series Lebanon 7 Mile on Wednesday July 5 2023.

Volunteer assignments have been made and can be found HERE https://www.estrs.com/volunteer-assignments-lebanon-7mi/ – be sure to search by last name and job as many people will have more than one task each night. Please be sure to let me know if something does not work for you and we can adjust. Take a look at the “notes” section of the volunteer assignments, you can look for the people listed as “leads” when you arrive and they will point you in the right direction and obviously, you can always look for me or Cheri as well.

The race takes place / starts and finishes at the Jensen Lake Pavilion at Lebanon Hills County Park in Eagan – off of Pilot Knob Road and Carriage Hills Drive – Directions HERE https://goo.gl/maps/Hn2fE8Gnf4q

Water Stop Volunteers:
Many working parking at Jensen Lake (race start / finish area) are also working the water stop at Schulze Lake / approximately 3.5 miles into the race (first runners will arrive by 6:50PM). A couple of the volunteers working parking will leave early to get things set up and greet the other volunteers arriving to work the water stop – Bill Pomerenke (parking lead) will let you know when you can peel off of parking and head over to the water stop. Bennett Isabella and Bill Pomerenke are the co-leads of the water stop – Bennett will be one of the first to arrive, you can look for him for direction when you arrive. The water stop is located at the Schulze Lake Trailhead / Main Visitors Center at 860 Cliff Rd, Eagan, MN 55123 HERE https://goo.gl/maps/ZS9SPnfEAAbpTxARA and per the attached diagram (not at the Jensen Lake Trailhead – start / finish area). Some will work the water stop itself and some will direct runners and help to ensure there are no collisions where runners run near the visitors center and beach area, both of which can be very busy. When the water stop is done, equipment will get loaded into Bennett’s truck and he will transport back to Jensen trailhead.

Those coming to Jensen Lake (race Start / Finish area) from the “East” and those parking volunteers heading over to Schulze Lake (water stop) after their parking shift should be aware of a closure / detour on Cliff Road and plan accordingly https://www.co.dakota.mn.us/Transportation/CurrentConstruction/CliffRoad/Pages/default.aspx

Please take the time to review the Lebanon 7 Mile info page prior to race day. Reviewing and knowing this information will make you, the volunteers, the best resource possible for the runners, spectators and your fellow volunteers! https://www.estrs.com/lebanon-7mi/

Be sure to pick up a sticker for yourself (this year’s giveaway – a different sticker for each race) when you arrive and also stay for beverages and fellowship after!  https://www.estrs.com/2023-sticker-giveaway/

Thank you all again, we could not do it without you! Let me know if you have any questions – otherwise we will see you at the race!

Thank You,

John Storkamp
